Training

IMG_0046Vital Connexions offers training courses in Counselling, validated by external validating bodies (COSCA, Diploma in Integrative Counselling), IACP  Diploma in Counsellor Supervision). We have carefully designed the Diploma courses to meet the criteria of national accrediting bodies in other countries and many of our students go on to be accredited by them.

The training courses include:

DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION FORM FOR THE DIPLOMA 2017 (Scotland or Ireland) here: application-form-diploma. The Diploma Course is validated by COSCA for many years . COSCA has a  Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists  and is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority which promotes health, safety and wellbeing and is accountable to the UK Parliament. Each student who attends the course is given a full handbook before the course commences with full details of the course schedule, venue, costs, assignments and complaints procedures e.g.  Complaints doc

2. Counsellor Supervision based on the Cyclical Model of Counselling Supervision for experienced Counsellors who wish to train as Clinical Supervisors.  There are two levels:

  • THE DIPLOMA IN COUNSELLOR SUPERVISION which is a 100 hours and runs for a full year (100 hours).   • CERTIFICATE IN COUNSELLING SUPERVISION which is a 6 day course. This course is offered in Edinburgh in order to meet the standards of COSCA.

3. Certificate in Couple Counselling an integrative course for Counsellors and those working in pastoral care. (60 hrs) to help build skills for those who wish to help couples have a more vibrant and connected relationship. 4. ‘STRENGTH TO STRENGTH” : a Foundation Course in Christian Counselling. for those who wish to explore counselling and learn new skills.  It is ideal for those involved in pastoral care or those who wish to go on to do the Diploma. (2 weekends or 4 consecutive days). If you have a group of 15 people who would like to do this course, please contact us and we are willing to come and facilitate the training. Next course for S2S starts in Belfast and Edinburgh in the Spring of 2018.
